Ryde Baseball Club comprises of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Under 18 – grade teams playing the NSW premier State League baseball competition. Ryde is also strongly represented by our elite women’s 1st grade team – competing in the NSW Women’s League.
Ryde Hawks Baseball was founded in 1987 as the Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club Baseball Club inc. It entered the newly formed Pacific Coast Baseball League (PCBL) – winning the inaugural premiership. As well as the AAA League competition in 1992, and AAA League Club Championship in 1993.
In 1995 the Ryde Hawks were promoted to the NSW State League (formerly NSW Major League) competition. The Hawks 3rd Grade won 3 consecutive championships from 1997 to 1999. The 1st Grade were runner-ups for two years before winning its first championship in 1999. the 2nd Grade taking its first premiership in 2000. The club later won the triple crown – winning all three grade championships in one season.
In 2011 the Hawks merged with the junior RHBL association under a representative development pathway partnership. In 2015 the Hawks separated from the RHBL and reformed as the new Ryde Baseball Club Inc.
