RYDE EASTWOOD LEAGUES BASEBALL CLUB INC. (1987 – 2011).

Ryde Hawks Baseball was founded in 1987 as the Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club Baseball Club Inc. The new club entered three senior teams into the Pacific Coast Baseball League (PCBL) in its first year. One team becoming the first premiers. Over the next six years the club went from strength to strength – winning the 1992 AAA League competition and the AAA League Club Championship in 1993.

In 1995 the Ryde Hawks were admitted into the NSW Major League – 12 team competition. One of the youngest major league baseball clubs in Sydney. The Hawks finishing a respectable sixth place in their inaugural major league year. In 1996, the 1st and 3rd grade teams made their respective semi-finals. From 1997 to 1999, the 3rd grade team won 3 consecutive championships. The Hawks 1st grade were runner-ups two years running and finally winning their first championship in 1999. Hawks second grade won their first championship the following year in 2000. The Ryde Hawks later won the triple crown – winning all three grade championships in one season.
